    The Proposal Support Centre (PSC) provides centralised support for marketing and tender submissions. We currently have an opportunity for a proofreader/copyeditor to join this small yet dynamic team in our office in the beautiful location of Tattenhall, Cheshire.

     

    Proofreader/copyeditor, Tattenhall, Cheshire (full-time)

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Read and evaluate a variety of written text for errors or queries regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and accuracy
    • Copy edit to ensure the sense of text written by technical staff and non-native English speakers
    • Maintain an up-to-date directory of staff CVs
    • Use house style rules to ensure consistency
    • Liaise with writers, editors and other staff to resolve problems or questions
    • General office administration, as required

     

    Person specification

     

    • High level of skill in written English, particularly spelling, grammar and punctuation
    • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines
    • Comfortable working with technical subjects
    • Good organisational skills
    • Ability to work well in a team
    • Competent user of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
