    Ian Farmer Associates, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is a geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation company with offices covering the majority of the United Kingdom. It is further supported by a fully accredited UKAS laboratory and together with the Geosciences division of RSK, the company makes RSK Group one of the UK’s largest site investigation service providers. Ian Farmer Associates currently has an immediate need for Laboratory Storeman based in Washington


    Laboratory Storeman – Washington, Tyne & Wear


    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Reception of samples delivered to the Laboratory.
    • Responsible for logging in and dispatching of samples.
    • Maintaining a neat and orderly environment
    • Sub sampling of soil and aggregate samples
    • Some Laboratory testing will be required as and when needed. Carrying out a variety of testing on soil, rock and aggregate samples in the laboratory as needed, to comply with all relevant British and European standards.

    Desired Experience:

    Whilst no previous experience is required for this role, we are interested in hearing from candidates who have worked in a process driven environment, are comfortable working off order lists and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. There will be lots of manual handling involved in the role and will require moving heavy items on a frequent basis.

    • Organised with a methodical approach
    • Good team player
    • Strong communication skills
    • Good level of literacy and numeracy
    • GCSE. A - G or equivalent Maths and English
