    RSK has recently undertaken a period of rapid growth through acquisition, acquiring 11 businesses in the last two years. The Capex Budget for the Group is significant and there is a requirement to streamline and improve the capex controls and procedures to facilitate the integration process and to meet the demands of a large and growing business. 

    Interim Capex Controller – Helsby, Cheshire (4 month contract) 

    Seeking an experienced Accountant for a four month period to start immediately and report directly into the Group Finance Director, focusing on the management of capital expenditure in the Group.




    • Assisting with the finalisation of the detailed, phased Capex Budget
    • Review and improvement of the capex controls and procedures
    • Assisting with Investment Appraisal including ROI calculations
    • Assessing actual ROI on approved capex spend
    • Managing the Capex approval process
    • Collecting & collating information from the new acquisitions
    • Monitoring and reporting on Capex spend and analysing variances against budget
    • Supporting the Divisional Directors with management of Capex budgets and spend
    • Assisting with decisions on financing options
    • Other Capex related ad hoc Projects 

    Skills and person specification


    You will be a commercially minded qualified Accountant, with strong IT skills.  Able to demonstrate a strong understanding and working knowledge of best practice controls and procedures around capital expenditure, you will have carried out a similar role before and be keen to assist in improving the management of capital expenditure in the business.

    • Accounting qualification - ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA
    • Strong knowledge of best practice Capital Expenditure controls and procedures
    • Intermediate Excel Skills
    • Personable and confident
    • Ability to Influence others
    • Methodical and organised
    • To work to a high level of accuracy and with a keen eye for detail
    • Able to drive change 
    • Willing to travel in the UK
