    RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group of companies, provides a complete engineering design service for residential and commercial development projects, both pre and post planning. RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in-house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects. LDE’s engineers typically evaluate the land use constraints in support of the site acquisition and planning process. This work would then be continued into detail design, obtaining statutory approvals, procuring and supervising the site infrastructure and remediation projects.

    Overall RSK currently offer the following engineering expertise: infrastructure and pre-acquisition engineering assessments, highways, drainage, structural and civil design, statutory utilities negotiations and flood risk assessments.

    Junior/Trainee CAD Technician – Hemel Hempstead


    We have an exciting opportunity for a recent school leaver or ‘A’ level student to join the team as a trainee. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking to develop a career within the civil engineering sector, as we would be looking for this individual to attend a local college and undertake their Level Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians/Construction and the Built Environment on a day release basis. The key responsibilities of this role would be:


    • Assisting with the presentation of general CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other propriety design software
    • Assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings and submissions
    • Understand role within design team and timescales available for undertaking required works
    • General administrative duties
    • Implement Quality and SHEMS procedures

    Person specification


    • The college course involves a high level of mathematics. We would like to hear from post A-level students who have taken maths as one of their subjects. Consideration would also be given to a school leaver with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at C grade or above. Other attributes required are:
    • Self-motivated and ambitious
    • Strong team player, good sense of humour and an energetic outlook
    • Training would be given in office procedures and administrative duties
    • Training would be given in AutoCAD and other proprietary software
