RSK’s EHS Compliance team is a fast paced business which is part of a larger group of EHS professionals, with no two days the same. A typical day may include business development meetings; development of EHS operational management systems; auditing of client premises; supporting development clients through the planning process; development and delivery of training and specific legislative compliance support and advice both in the UK and abroad.
The company now has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Waste Management Consultant to join the team in the Northwest. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of development projects throughout the UK.
The RSK Group plc has a wide portfolio of clients in a number of sectors including rail, transport, water and property. In addition, we are particularly proud of the work that we have undertaken in the nuclear sector where over the last 3 years we have undertaken preliminary and main/intermediate phase site investigations at Hinckley Point and Wylfa on Anglesey. In 2014 the team were heavily involved in the detailed onshore ground investigation of the nuclear new-build at Wylfa, Anglesey culminating in winning Ground Investigation Project of the Year at the 2015 Ground Engineering Awards.
Senior Waste Management Consultant – Manchester or Cheshire preferred but any UK office considered
A Senior Waste Management Consultant is responsible for undertaking a variety of project, business development and training activities across the RSK Group of companies. These may include, applications for environmental permits, waste auditing, preparation of waste management plans and providing advice on compliance with waste management legislation and internal and external training and advice relating to other environmental disciplines (eg. environmental management systems). All project work must be carried out with due diligence, adherence to RSK internal procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and timescales agreed with the client. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with the client periodically with updates & any issues raised. It is expected that employees working at this grade will have project management and finance skills, be client facing, self-motivated, exhibit a proactive approach, and work well within a team environment.
