Overview

STRUCTURAL SOILS Ltd, a member of RSK Group plc, is a site investigation contractor that for over 40 years has provided comprehensive site and ground investigation services in the UK and Europe. Due to recent expansion and increasing workload an exciting opportunity has become available for a Laboratory to join the team in the Hemel Hempstead UKAS accredited geotechnical soil laboratory. 

 

Soils Laboratory Technician – Hemel Hempstead

 

Key responsibilities and personal specification include: 

 

  • Carrying out a variety of testing on soil and rock samples
  • Recording accurately the test data produced for analysis
  • Assisting in the calibration and maintenance of all technical equipment
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly laboratory environment
  • Organised with a methodical approach
  • Good team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy 

Desired experience

 

Full training will be provided.  Applicants will need to be comfortable working off order lists and not mind getting their hands dirty. There will be lots of manual handling involved in the role which will require moving heavy items on a frequent basis.

 

Salary and benefits:

 

  • Up to £18,000 depending on experience
