Overview

The asbestos division of the RSK Group, is one of the UK’s largest independent asbestos management consultancies, helping to manage Britain’s biggest occupational killers.  Their services include surveys, sampling and analysis, preparation of policies and procedures, project management of asbestos removal works, auditing and training.

 

The division boasts a vast array of clients from major property development companies such as Taylor Wimpey to major energy and utility companies including BP, National Grid and United Utilities, this is an exciting division to join and growing fast!!

 

We are now looking to recruit an experience Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to work in Hemel Hempstead.  This is an excellent opportunity to join an IIP company who can provide excellent career development.

 

Asbestos Surveyor and/or Analyst -  Coventry or Hemel Hempstead

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Completion of asbestos surveys
  • Undertaking re-inspections and updating the asbestos register and management plans
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with documented procedure and comply with the quality system
  • Laboratory analysis of asbestos samples
  • Air testing work from reassurance to 4-Stage clearances
  • Working across the UK to travel to client sites, as and when required
  • Possible overseas travel to undertake surveys
  • Writing of technical asbestos survey reports
  • Data uploading
  • Tender and Project Management
  • Advising clients of asbestos liabilities and management 

Desired experience

We are interested in hearing from candidates with any ‘P’ modules.  Ideally you will have some experience in managing small projects from tender/proposal stage through to a final deliverable, whilst maintaining project finances, though this is not essential and further training can be given.

 

Person specification:

 

The ideal candidates will need to be:

  • Self motivated and enthusiastic
  • Familiar with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to work well within a team but have confidence and initiative to work with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A team player who can work on own initiative and prioritise their own workload
  • Able to work at height e.g to survey roofs 

Due to the nature of the work that we undertake it will be essential for the person to pass a CRB check (Criminal Record Bureau).
